Beer Bread
3 cups of flour
3 tablespoons of sugar 1 12oz beer Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix flour, sugar and beer together in a large mixing bowl. Spread mixture in a greased bread pan. Put pan in oven and cook for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes stick a toothpick in the bread to see if it's finished (there shouldn't be any dough stuck to the toothpick). If the bread isn't finished continue to cook and check bread in 5 minute intervals. http://a-sound-mind.blogspot.com/ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UhHfwmTrDws |

RE: Beer Bread
Hi..
That has to be the easiest loaf of bread to make ever! What kind of beer did you use in your bread, or what would you suggest? I ask only because I don’t drink beer myself, so I wouldn’t know what to buy if I was to cook with it. |

RE: Beer Bread
I'm not a beer drinker anymore either - diabetes. Generally when I make it I use a light beer. In the past I've used just about every kind you can imagine. Dark beers like Amberbock or Guiness will give the beer a more bitter taste. Lighter beers tend to give it a sweeter taste, especially Budweiser. You can also use wheat flour for a little bit healthier option if you're into that.
